EVAN AND JARON

This is not a movie title. They just suddenly popped out from my memory. One of my favourite band. Was it a band? or duo? Last night I searched this band on youtube and found nothing. Unlike some of my favourite 90s bands, this one doesn't seem to follow this online fame path. They don't have Youtube account. But I found them as a topic in a post entitled "One Hit Wonderland", it's a post about songs that went amazingly over popular that the next songs produced by the same bands or singers couldn't compete the popularity, and then suddenly we never heard of them again. The song still remains, but the bands were somewhere out there. No offense, but I think popularity is like winning a lottery. One day you are a famous singer, winner of a talent show, and the next day, oblivious..

Crazy for This Girl is my favourite.. of course.. it's everyone's favourite.. hehe.. Everyone who grew up watching Dawson's Creek, know this song, and that's not me. I've never watched Dawson's Creek. Only kids with parents who can afford cable TV could watched those series. Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill, Gilmore Girls, and all teen-dramas, long before Kdramas take over the world. 

Crazy for this girls is the main soundtrack of Dawson's Creek. One day, a radio station in my hometown played this song and I went crazy. Seriously, I didn't even have MTV. My God, that song is such an ear candy. Their voice, the music, awesome!

and I don't know why I keep writing with my broken English. hahah..

Anyway, I was wondering who sang that song? Remember, no internet also, I mean, there were internet, only that me and my surrounding weren't aware of that technology. Radio, TV, news papers and megazines were our only source of information back then. I don't remember how I found who's the singer, probably mentioned by the radio DJ or some megazines put out the lyrics, I'm not sure. So it's Evan and Jaron. 

You know, sometimes, like.. most of the times, we got disappointed by an album. We bought the album and thought that the other songs would be as good as the singles played on the radio, but it's not. Other songs were probably good, but not good enough. You know that feeling, right? But that time, I found Crazy for This Girl was soooo gooodd, that I believe these guys will definitely produce good songs. Like, no doubt about it. I wanted to buy their album so bad that I have to safe some pocket money for some times. And finally I got it! I searched the whole town and found this album.

"We've never heard of you either". That amazing single, "Crazy for This Girl" wasn't even in this album. I bought the album because I believed so much that they have good music. And they are! I love all the songs in this album. And well, I didn't know that they are a good looking twin! This album cover was the first time I see their face. They look like the models that we see in the boutiques or fashion section at the mall. You know, tall, blue eyes, strong jawline, effortlessly good body. They are Evan Mitchell Lowenstein and Jaron David Lowenstein (I just googled it.. hehe..)..

And then time goes by, never heard of them again. I write this post because it breaks my heart when I watched "One Hit Wonderland" and Evan said that he barely remember the band. I do remember, and also some 90s teens out there.
